The Bulgarian Fund for guaranting of bank deposits will be obliged to pay twice as fast as prevous year

The Bulgarian Parliament passed on first hearings amendments to the Guarantee of bank deposits Act. The term in which the fund shall pay depositors the guaranteed amount of deposits in the bank is reduced by half. Currently, the deadline for payment is 45 days, after the amendments it will become 20 days. The deadline for submission of information on deposits in the bank designated by the quaestor, liquidator or trustee to the Board of the Fund shall be reduced from 15 days to 3 working days. The full coverage of deposits of one person in the bank up to 100 000 BGN is kept unchanged.
