Legal collaboration between Bulgaria and Germany

Bulgarian Minister of Justice Miglena Tacheva and her German counterpart Brigitte Zupris signed a mutual declaration due to collaboration between the two departments. The declaration is a renewal of an agreement, signed between the countries 10 years ago. It stipulates that both parties intent to proceed and even intensify their cooperation in fields like legislation, management and reform of court system, etc. Evaluating their significance for inner security both countries would like to continue developing their bilateral partnership in penal and civil law sphere within the EU. Furthermore, Bulgaria and Germany shall strive to work jointly on projects in the relevant legal cooperation programs funded by the European Union.
It was also declared that Bulgaria and Germany shall continue experience exchange in applying the judicial acts of the EU as well as the international agreements. In order to execute those activities both countries shall harmonize their working programs and appoint representatives to examine the opportunities of programs co-funded by the EU. Experts exchange and fight against corruption conference are also foreseen as a part of the measures arranged.
