Investigation department may become subordinate to Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office

The purpose is to increase the inquest function of Prosecutor's Office. Another idea is to transfer the examining magistrates to the Prosecutor's office without conducting a competition.
It is also foreseen that the prosecutor should be able to propose or even directly to define a fee in cases of light penalties' conviction. Thus, the case will not be up before the court, the court will only control the issuance of a judicial act.
Furthermore, attempts to deal with another problem have been made - in order to delay a case attorneys may state an illness. Judges now shall be able to alarm bars if lawyers have pronounced ill on a case and appear healthy on another case. In such situations bars should start a discipline procedure.
