Up to 4 years work in the EU institutions

Bulgarian state employee could work in the European institution no longer than 4 years as the Parliament passed the Government official act’s amendments on second readings. For the period of work in the European institutions the Government official shall keep his legal relation in Bulgaria and also shall receive his salary in Bulgaria.
State employee who is in legal relation with a European institution shall be able to use one year unpaid leave.
It is stipulated that citizens of EU member states, European Economic area member states and Swiss citizens shall also be able to take positions in the Bulgarian state administration
