The Parliament shall ratify the Treaty of Lisbon

The National Assembly shall discuss the bill of ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon. The contract foresees creating institutions of a President of the EU and a Minister of Exterior. The document shall enter into force in 2009 if ratified by the Parliaments of all 27 countries members of the EU. Invitations for the session of the National Assembly were received by the President of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov, the Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev, all members of the Ministry Council and other supreme magistrates. Guests of the sessions shall be also members of diplomatic corps, leaders of the syndicates and editors in chief of the media. What is the Treaty of Lisbon? On the 13th of December, 2007 the 27 countries members of the EU made an important step towards strengthening the authority of the European institutions. They met in Lisbon to sign a treaty by the means of which shall be created institutions of a President of the EU and a Minister of Exterior. This treaty is expected to unify the international politics in the EU.
