The Prime Minister Mr Sergey Stanishev wants to expand the role of the referendums in Bulgaria

According to the Prime Minister the wider use of the referendums will confirm the democratic government in the country and will raise the trust in the parliament and the state departments. This will guarantee the opportunity of the citizens to express directly and completely their free will on matters of national importance.
The questions, included in the referendum should be clearly formulated, no place for populist ideas should be left.
